Hotel Gilpatrick

A five story brick hotel with a facade of Wauwatosa quarried stone which was renovated in 1907 from the former Romadka trunk factory. The hotel consisted of 125 rooms operated on the European plan and was designed by H Messmer and Sons. It had it's place in history as the location of the attempted assassination of Teddy Roosevelt by John Schrank during a campaign stop in October 1912.
